Oz Soundz Records was established as part of The Oz Soundz Group — a family-founded, musician-driven organisation based in Sydney, NSW. Founded by Jason "Plummo" Plumridge and his family, the group has deep, decades-long roots in the Australian grassroots music community.
We're not a corporate label. We're not here to take your masters and ghost you. Oz Soundz Records is being built to be the label we always wished existed when we were coming up through the scene.

Our founder studied music at Newcastle Conservatorium. His eldest son is an accomplished keyboardist — his band released an EP in 2024. His daughter is a committed singer. His youngest son plays trombone and drums. Music isn't the business at Oz Soundz. It's the whole point.

By default, artists retain ownership of their master recordings. Any co-ownership arrangement will be explicit, negotiated, and fair.
Our royalty percentages will be published publicly before launch. No hidden deductions. No cross-collateralisation without full artist understanding.
Artists have the right to exit their deal under defined circumstances. We're not interested in trapping people — if it's not working, we part ways with dignity.
We actively encourage every artist to have an independent music lawyer review any deal we offer. Informed artists make better partners.

No. Australia is full of incredible music outside Sydney and Melbourne. We actively want to represent artists from regional and rural communities.
By default, yes. We believe artists should own their work. Any arrangement involving shared master ownership will be explicitly negotiated and fully transparent.
Yes. Previous releases don't disqualify you. We're interested in where you're going, not just where you've been.
Great. We work with existing artist teams. Label support and management aren't mutually exclusive — we prefer artists who already have professional support around them.
